Walgrave community welcomes more homes

Work has now begun in earnest at Northamptonshire Rural Housing Association’s new affordable housing development in Walgrave.

Four years ago, the Walgrave community gave their full support to NRHA’s first development of 11 affordable homes.  Yet local people are still being forced to move away from their village due to rising house prices.

Now the community is pleased that an additional 10 new homes are being built adjacent to the original Poachers Close development.

Once again, we’re working in partnership with local developer, Whiterock Homes to develop four properties for affordable rent and two shared ownership homes, along with four local market homes which will help to cross-subsidise the affordable properties.

All 10 properties will be offered to people with a local connection to the Walgrave Ward.  It is hoped that residents will be able to move into their new homes by Christmas.
