Aims and Objectives

Principal Aim

The principal aim of MRH, via its enabling and customer service role, is to ensure access to homes in villages for those who live or work locally, but who are not able to meet their needs on the open market.

Operational Objectives

To achieve this aim throughout the plan period it has a number of clear and deliverable key operational objectives. These are as follows:-

To provide a high quality, performance driven, support service to the partner RHAs to ensure their business objectives are achieved, and their legal, regulatory and governance requirements are met.
To promote the provision of affordable rural housing across the Midlands for those who cannot afford to rent, or purchase, at existing market levels.
To develop partnerships with external organisations and agencies including the provision of consultancy and support sources in relation to rural housing.
To act as a key point of contact and consultation on rural housing and planning issues at regional and national level.
To complement, and positively contribute to, the key objectives of the parent organisation from a rural housing perspective.
